SML “SPRING BREAK”

MENS/MIXED SINGLES DIVISION INFORMATION

NOVICE SINGLES – Players wanting to enter into this event have played league this year with a ‘FUN’, ‘B3’ or ‘B2’ team. This division is for entry-level players. Players wishing to enter this division may not have previously won a Vegas trip. Players should have no more than 3 feats (“feats” are EROs, 10-0’s & first attempts) to be eligible to enter into this division

INTERMEDIATE SINGLES – Players wanting to enter into this event have played league this year with a ‘B1’ or an entry level “A” team. This division is for more competitive players. Players should have no more than 6 feats (“feats” are EROs, 10-0’s & first attempts) to be eligible to enter into this division

OPEN SINGLES – Players wanting to enter into this event have played league this year with a ‘A2’, ‘A1’ or in some cases a Masters ‘B’ team. This division is for the more competitive players. Players who appear on ANY Vegas list are not eligible to enter into this division

MASTERS SINGLES – This is an unrestricted division. Any players who currently or previously appeared on a Vegas list must play in this division. Players of “known” master ability must also play in this division

LADIES SINGLES DIVISION INFORMATION

NOVICE SINGLES – this division is for entry-level ladies (ladies who play recreationally & have not ever won anything) This division would include ALL ladies “B” ranked players. Players wishing to enter this division may not have previously won a Vegas Trip. Players in this division would not have more than 3 feats (“feats” are EROs, 10-0’s & first attempts)

OPEN SINGLES – this division is for players who are more competitive & have probably won a trip to Vegas. It would include Ladies “A” ranked players/teams. This is an unrestricted division & ladies who appear on a Vegas list may play in this division.

PLEASE NOTE: SML Pool Leagues currently have NO LADIES VEGAS MASTERS in any of our leagues.

Singles formats:

  • Double knockout (you must lose 2 matches to be out of the tournament)
  • “Race to” games won will be used
  • VNEA rules will apply (patch is required on the 8 ball & new “scratch on the 8 ball rule” is in effect)
  • RACK YOUR OWN format will be used

NOVICE = Race to 3 (A & B side of draw)

INTERMEDIATE = Race to 3 (A & B side of draw)

ADVANCED = Race to 4 (A & B side of draw)

MASTERS = Race to 6 (A & B side of draw)

LADIES singles DIVISIONS

NOVICE = Race to 3 (A & B side of draw)

OPEN = Race to 4 (A & B side of draw)
